During the visit of the President of the United States of America Joe Biden next week, the police will put in place a range of security measures and perimeters in Brussels from Sunday 13 June to Tuesday 15 June. Traffic deviations throughout these days and temporary road closures during the arrival and departure of official delegations are to be expected.
During the EU-US Summit in the Europa building of the European Council, the security perimeter will be set up on Tuesday 15 June at 09:00 until the end of the event.
As for similar events in the past, access to the security perimeter is strictly limited to staff holding a valid Council-accredited badge for the event along with an ID card. All bikes and other items will be removed from the perimeter by the police.
